Schinfa heeft onze AI draaibank compleet naar volle tevredenheid gereviseerd. Ook heeft Schinfa onze Schaublin, AI en Weiler draaibanken voorzien van veiligheidskappen. Ook met de montage van digitale uitlezingen op onze Schaublin- en Deckel freesmachine zijn wij totaal tevreden. De comminicatielijnen met Schinfa zijn kort en afspraken worden nagekomen. Ik kan dit bedrijf absoluut aanbevelen.

In mid November 2021 I ordered a steady rest and a follow rest for a Hembrug AI from Schinfa Machinerevisie. I paid the asking price of 2,020 euros, plus shipping and duties.

The parts were described by the seller in an email as "used parts in new condition".

The parts arrived in the second week in December. Unfortunately the two components, weighing approximately 10 kilos, were simply placed in a box with a mix of foam peanuts, used bubble wrap and scrap paper, with no tape holding the packing around the parts.

As a result the parts shifted easily and ended up banging against each other during the trip to Canada, and at some point came out through the box.

As you can see from the images attached there is extensive shipping damage to the paint, plus dents and scrapes in one of the sliding shafts and a bent locking knob. So the follow rest is not useable in the condition it arrived in.

I wrote to Schinfa Machinerevisie, described the damage and requested a partial refund.

The responses I received was as follows: "These are 40 year old parts. So it's not that strange that there is paint damage on it. I find your response very strange. I have indicated this in advance. Good luck with the beautiful stuff".

So potential customers of Schinfa Machinerevisie should be aware that despite the premium pricing, the company takes no responsibility for amateurish packing that results in damage to "....the beautiful stuff" you buy from them.
