10/10 just do NOT recommend. The room was filthy like they never move the furniture to vacuum, the bed was like sleeping on a brick with sheets, and the floor was so uneven I literally walked gingerly on floor 3 like I might fall through. The hotel is new, but must have been poorly built. The surface made you think on first sight good choice, but it very much was not.

What it lacked in cleanliness and structure, the young night auditor made up for with his friendliness and excellent customer service.

We stay in a lot of Marriott properties because of the location, predicable quality, and people. The Residence Inn has easy access on/off access to freeway. We like the kitchen when stay for more than a few days, and room was quiet. Abilene Residence Inn feel short for us we’ve stayed in better. The following comments might seem a little petty, but as mentioned we have expectations. Property seemed dated an a little worn. No one greeted us at checking, no option offered on points or pantry credit, room was just OK. Breakfast other than being included was just OK. ||The last Residence in received a 5 star.

I petsit for one of the guests here and I've got to compliment the staff for wonderful customer service. From the front desk to management, they are amazing. The cleaning staff are also amazing and always greet me and the pup when we pass by. Rooms look cozy and the temperature they keep it at is great to beat this Texas heat.

100% recommend. We're a family of 6, the room was big enough for all of us, full kitchen which was nice. Full breakfast, which lots of hotels don't have no more.

Miha Ella who checked us in was exceptional. Friendly and professional. Breakfast was very good and we'll stocked. Staff was very accommodating all around.

Let me preface by saying we don't have pets. Desk attendant was lovely, nice and thorough with information. As we walked into the halls out of the lobby the smell of pets is overwhelming. The rooms were clean-ish. Meaning, housekeeping was evident but so was the fact that the rooms are worn down. Cabinets had been chewed on, carpets stained, couch worn down and saggy. Beds were comfortable enough and complimentary breakfast the next day was great. I would likely only stay here again if I needed to accommodate a pet.

We just stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding.

When I made the reservation it was for a 2 room suite. I called to see if I could extend it before we arrived and was told that they actually weren’t going to have a 2 room available for me due to some maintenance being done in some of them. She was very nice and offered me 2 king room, ajoining, for the same price. But, I wouldn’t not have known until I showed up if I hadn’t called.

Then, we get there past our kids bedtimes and get to our rooms to find that one of them was cleaned poorly. Hair in the bed, shower walls had soap on them, trash under the bed, mattress was falling apart with a sheet that was too stretched out so it was coming off the corners, and the pull out couch had a NASTY ripped cover on it with a stained mattress. We told them about this and they did reclean it the next day but didn’t fix the first night.

We were excited about the pool as we were gonna have some down time while there. It was very dirty and clearly not maintained.

Overall the staff was very sweet and helpful but the quality of this hotel is not worth the prices they are charging or the stars shown on the reviews in my experience.
